We here at JC’s Recovery Center would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. This is a special time of year for us. As all good Believers are aware this holiday is about celebrating the birth of our Lord, Jesus. The giving and receiving of gifts is a fun tradition but let’s not forget the TRUE miracle of Christmas – God sending us His one and only Son.
Being a faith based addiction recovery center, we look to Jesus all year round for guidance. But there is something about the Christmas season that causes us to take a pause and reflect. As we do this reflecting we can’t help but feel a great sense of gratitude for being chosen, “called” if you will, by the Lord to help the sick and suffering addict. There is nothing more rewarding than witnessing the transformation of people. People come to JC’s Recovery Center truly broken and hopeless. We in the A.A. program call this “the gift”. It’s the gift of desperation. On the very positive side, we are blessed to see them leave us glowing with faith and purpose. Watching lives and families being restored is God’s blessing upon us. So again, to our all recovering brothers and sisters, we are so grateful to be a part of your lives.
At this time we would like to remind everyone to be extra diligent this time of year. We addicts tend to get tight around the holiday season. Remember to always put your recovery first, without your sobriety nothing else is possible. Like Stevie always says, with “The Big Book in one hand in the Bible in the other”, we have a better chance of staying clean and sober.
We thank each and every one of you for coming into our lives. You are all in our daily thoughts and prayers. A special thank you to all our brothers and sisters out there that support everything we do here at JC’s Recovery Center. We are so blessed to have you all in our lives.
