Christian Treatment Programs Offered at JC’s Recovery Center
All of the treatment programs at JC’s Recovery Center are built on the foundation that freedom from addiction can exist through clinical therapy, with the help of a strong support system, and as a result of God’s continual love and care. We encourage clients to dig into God’s word, which serves as a guide for their lives, and we help foster a closer relationship to God through worship, prayer, and fellowship. For most people, it’s easy to forget about God when times are good, and when things get difficult, we tend to blame God for our problems. Addiction is no different, and by helping clients build a better relationship with God, they experience growth and maturity in their attitude and faith life.
God is certainly always with us and He always wants us to remain close to Him, but challenges such as addiction recovery are tools He uses to bring us closer to Him. The treatment philosophy at JC’s Recovery is to use the scientific methods God has given us to treat addiction, but to also incorporate a faith-based component which provides motivation and strength. Together, the spiritual and clinical aspects of addiction treatment offer hope for a sober life.
Although we offer a Christian faith based rehab program, JC’s Recovery Center welcomes individuals of all faiths to recover with us. We offer a strong, clinical treatment program, but also help clients find inspiration and encouragement in their faith.
The Sonshine Program
At JC’s Recovery Center, we believe in an integrated approach to recovery, which utilizes the 12-Steps and God’s Word. Our Sonshine Program is designed to balance the 12-Steps to recovery, which have been helping people overcome addiction for decades, as well as the Bible, which has been a reliable guide for God’s people since the beginning of time. The 12-Steps help individuals work through the stages of recovery, processing past conflict and giving up control. The timeless truths of the Bible teach us how to live according to God’s will and remind us of God’s love and forgiveness of our past wrongs. Our Sonshine Program brings both of these pillars into our intensive outpatient program as well as our outpatient care plan. This faith-based approach helps heal clients’ pasts, as well as help them develop tools and strategies for long-term success.
We tailor each person’s treatment plan according to their unique needs. Each client has the opportunity to work with their addiction treatment team to develop an action plan. Sonshine recovery plans include:
The first step after detox and our most structured level of care is inpatient or residential treatment. This phase is ideal for individuals who need a higher level of supervision and who are at the point where they need to focus solely on recovery. Inpatient care is beneficial in these cases because the individual lives right on campus, where they work closely with staff in therapy and to carry out normal daily activities. Inpatient treatment is also a good first step because food and lodging are provided, eliminating the stress of planning meals, working, and even dealing with loved ones. The person’s main focus during inpatient therapy is to remain sober and recover. Because we are a Christian faith based treatment center, we provide additional support through Bible study, prayer, and positive interactions with Christian staff and peers who have the same beliefs and values.
The next step toward sobriety is partial hospitalization, during which time the individual can choose to either live at our treatment facility or live off campus and commute daily for treatment sessions. Clients in our partial hospitalization program have a set daily schedule for therapy but are able to begin work and life outside of treatment. During this phase of recovery, developing life skills is vital, as the person begins to put their life back together. A strong foundation of clinical therapy and Christian principles are an important part of getting the person back to living a sober life.
As a person moves through the phases of recovery, supervision becomes less necessary, and the individual has more freedom to work, rebuild relationships with loved ones, and carry on with life. As they spend more time away from rehab, however, more temptations and triggers to use will arise, and it is important to provide a safe place for the person to retreat to when necessary. Outpatient care is designed to provide ongoing treatment to individuals as they return to daily sober living. By maintaining a relationship with the treatment community, as well as improving their daily faith walk, a newly sober individual will find sobriety to be a positive journey.
Families are an important part of our lives, but for many, the relationships with loved ones have become strained and even unbearable at times. As a person goes through a rehab and recovery program, it is vital that they address past conflict in relationships, especially those that would make sobriety difficult. Our family program brings loved ones together to aid in recovery, repairing relationships and healing past wrongs. Rooted in God’s word, our program allows families to be part of their loved one’s recovery so that each member can learn and grow in their own renewed life and walk with God.
Recovery is more than just putting an end to drug or alcohol use. It is growth and renewal and the hope of a better life. At JC’s Recovery Center, our faith-based approach to rehab helps clients successfully achieve their goals so they can live a new life. Contact us today to learn more about our faith-based options.
