Intensive Outpatient Program
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
An important factor to consider when looking for a drug or alcohol rehab program is the ability to customize the program. Addiction rehab should always be offered on a case-by-case basis because needs change so much from one person to the next. This is especially true about the level of supervision offered at the facility. Just because one person requires the constant supervision of an inpatient or residential treatment program doesn’t mean this is a necessary step in everyone’s recovery. Some individuals do better in an intensive outpatient program setting because their life or circumstances prevent them from living at a treatment facility. In many cases, an individual will thrive in an intensive outpatient setting, during which time they live at home and travel to campus for daily treatment.
The intensive outpatient program at JC’s Recovery Center is ideal for any person who requires flexibility and is in various stages of recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. We offer both day and evening sessions to fit the client’s schedule. This program makes it possible for the person to live at home, maintain contact with their family, and even continue to work or attend classes.
Different Levels of Care for Different Needs
An Intensive Outpatient Program, or IOP, is not to be confused with an inpatient facility that requires on-site stay, close supervision, and hospitalization. In many cases, an intensive outpatient program is the next level of care recommended to patients who have completed a detox and inpatient drug rehab. Others are stable enough to begin their recovery in an IOP setting. Commonly, an intensive outpatient facility offers the medical treatment an individual needs to cope with early recovery, but has the flexibility that allows clients to re-integrate into their work, family, and social life.
Intensive outpatient is not a step toward recovery that is for everyone. For the patient who needs additional accountability and a more structured environment we also offer inpatient services. Others may benefit from a regular outpatient program, or only need to talk with a therapist or meet with a support group. Before you make any decisions about what level of care you feel you need, we encourage you to contact us and speak to our staff about your needs. We conduct a complete assessment on each client during the intake process in order to determine what type of program will be best for the person’s unique situation, and our treatment team creates a treatment plan for each individual. This allows us to give clients the care they need and to set realistic goals for each one’s recovery.
IOP Helps with Integration into Work, Family, and Life
Those who enroll in an intensive outpatient program find structure and direction, but are allowed to live off campus and are encouraged to get back into their relationships, work, and family life. Addiction rehab is a life-changing experience, and as the individual processes past conflict, learns to be sober, and develops skills for life and work, IOP allows them to put into practice what they have learned. An intensive outpatient program is a safe setting for a newly sober individual to receive advice and encouragement, learn skills for sobriety, and continue to address the issues that have contributed to the addiction.
It takes time to truly get good at something, and sobriety is no different. As an individual starts to get back to life without drugs or alcohol, it is beneficial to be surrounded by caring and compassionate staff and peers, which is the foundation for an IOP. The individual enrolled in IOP gains insight into their addiction and recovery daily during treatment, and then has the opportunity to utilize that knowledge in their everyday life when they go home. An intensive outpatient program is a way for the individual to gradually get back to life, while still receiving the treatment and assistance that solidifies their sobriety.
Components of JC’s Recovery Intensive Outpatient Program:
Why Choose JC’s Recovery Center for IOP Addiction Treatment?
There are many different intensive outpatient programs available, which can make it difficult to choose one. When selecting a program, it is important to consider the treatment facility’s levels of care offered, the therapies used, and their philosophy. We believe that in order to achieve lasting recovery, it is necessary to heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Some treatment plans only focus on the physical and emotional aspect of the individual, and this is what sets JC’s Recovery Center apart.
Our intensive outpatient program is a faith-based addiction treatment program. As such, in addition to working with our therapists, psychiatrists, and addiction specialists, clients work one-on-one with our spiritual leaders. Together with the client, a personalized treatment plan is developed and that plan of action is put into place. Each individual is then provided with continuous support from our addiction treatment staff and spiritual leaders. Our staff continues to be accessible throughout recovery to assist the individual in implementing their addiction treatment plan of action.
Spiritual healing means renewal and growth of the soul. Addiction causes disorder in an individual’s life and destroys self-esteem and confidence. When someone lives with the lies and conflict that are a part of an addict’s life, it quickly begins to weigh on their conscience. But with the help of a faith-based recovery program, the person experiences the calm and peace that forgiveness brings. Only a Christian rehab program can remind those in recovery of their Heavenly Father’s love which led Him to send His Son as a sacrifice for sins. Only focus on that unconditional love of God can erase past wrongs and set the stage for a peace-filled future.
Our Christian IOP uses Bible study, prayer, and spiritual counseling to help clients get closer to God and to learn His will for their lives. With the strength of a higher power, and with a clear conscience thanks to Christ’s forgiveness, individuals in JC’s Recovery program are able to put their past behind them and focus on living a new life.
Recovery from Addiction is a Daily Reprieve
Our intensive outpatient program is a daily program, offered as day or evening classes for flexibility. In the early stages of recovery it is important for the individual to focus daily on their sobriety, and receive continuous support from the recovery community. As the individual moves through the phases of recovery, they are able to slowly decrease the amount of time they spend in therapy and counseling and replace these times with other positive interactions. Support groups and alumni programs are perfect for continuous growth and are integrated into our intensive outpatient program.
We realize that life-long recovery requires the support of many. As part of JC’s Recovery Center IOP we require clients to work through the 12-steps and attend 12-step meetings, as well as faith-based meetings. We connect clients with the sober community in AA/NA to help individuals get the additional support they need to stay sober. We believe it is an integral part of long-term sobriety.
Whether you are looking for a residential program, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, or regular outpatient services, JC’s Recovery Center offers a continuum of care. Our team is experienced in different proven therapy techniques, and we help clients get to the root of their addiction. The faith-based focus that is a part of all of our levels of programming is vital to complete healing and long-term success. By integrating Christian rehab programming into clinical treatment, we offer complete healing of the body, mind, and spirit.
